Job Summary
The LPM Engineering Intern will support the engineering team in Low Pressure Molding (LPM) projects for manufacturing and product development activities. This role provides hands-on experience in molding processes, tooling support, process improvement, and cross-functional engineering collaboration within a global manufacturing environment. It is ideal for senior students or recent graduates pursuing an engineering-related degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing, documenting, and analyzing Low Pressure Molding (LPM) processes
- Support mold qualification, testing, debugging, and process validation activities
- Help collect and analyze production and scrap data for process improvement initiatives
- Assist with tooling documentation, asset tracking, and engineering records management
- Support mold changeovers, sample builds, and new product introduction activities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product, and Process Engineering teams on project tasks
- Participate in continuous improvement and R&D projects related to molding processes
- Help maintain engineering standards, work instructions, and technical documentation
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in plastics molding, manufacturing, or process engineering
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes or tooling concepts preferred
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
